Laneway Living

This laneway house was built several years ago on the footprint of a small bungalow. It seems to have been nicely maintained over the years unlike some of the houses I have seen in laneways. The far side is mostly glass and there is a deck up at the top of the other side but this seemed like the most interesting view to me.

Whenever I'm exhausted after a day in my garden the thought of a laneway house is so very appealing 😊 I like the look of this one. Happy weekend Pat ✨

...space sure is at a premium.

Strange looking to me. I would think that extended part should have more support posts.
Have a great day!

It's interesting the way it's built. They have given some outdoor space on both sides. They are making the most of a small space.

Small places have to be creative and this one is. I like it!

That is a curious structure.

The overhang looks like it could topple over any moment.

I hope there is nothing heavy, like a grand piano, in that cantilevered room.

Very different.

That surely took some engineering. It's a reminder of what a premium space is in a city.

Quite fascinating, and it always makes wonder what the floor plan is inside!
