This pretty little building was built in 1914 as a Lutheran church and continued to be a church until 1966 when it was sold to U of Toronto and turned into a theatre in 1968. Now named the Luella Massey Studio Theatre it is used as a teaching facility and is also rented out for private events.

...the outline of the gable end has a southwest feel. It's great to hear that it wasn't thorn down and a high rise built in it's place. Thanks for joining in today.
Such a pretty little place. It has the look of a church but, I bet it makes a good theatre when needed.
What a pretty building, neat roofline!
Pat you find the most interesting things.
The building is beautiful and very appealing.
So pretty and yet I've never noticed it...
A lovely building and nice to see it repurposed.
I love repurposed churches!
The small Presbyterian church I attended as a boy has long since been deconsecrated (if that's a word) and turned into a performing arts center.
Oh I adore that 😍
It looks like a nice space. The scale looks good for its current purposes.
Interesting. We have a few churches turned into theatres in Sydney too.
In front sight it still looks like a church.
Reminds me of how other colleges are buying up and re-using old churches.
It really is a pretty little building Pat, how nice that it is still in use and cared for ✨
Linda fachada también.
Un abrazo.
Quite stunning design and such a welcoming place!
