Benched

This is another sculpture by Patrick Amiot (click the label below to see more) which was out front of a gallery in the Yorkville neighbourhood. This depicts one of our beloved Toronto Maple Leafs players. Hockey is probably finished for the season as are all other sports.

Well, this brought a smile to my face. How cute. He looks like he's seen something he doesn't like.

He looks like he's afraid of your camera.

A good deal of humor in this sculpture. Good one. Yes, for the time being all sports are cancelled.

This sure tells the story of today, and what a cute way to do it!

He looks rather nervous about going on the ice. From what I've seen of hockey the bench looks the safest place.

He's getting a reprieve from the season.

What a cool character. Too bad the coach benched him.

Spring training (baseball) is done and probably the entire season.

I love his sculptures! This one is fun...unless you're a hockey fan, mourning the season.

I can't remember a previous time when there were no sports at all going on. Weird.
