This is the hawk that was watching the Canada Goose family that I showed you last week. I saw him looking at them for at least 20 minutes before flying off. There is a pair of Red-tailed Hawks that nest near here each year and this may have been one of them.

The danger from above is real.
Hawks are beautiful birds, fun to watch, but they are predators. Nature is not kind to the weak and defenseless.
Hello,
That is an intent stare, watch out goslings. Great photo, the hawk is a beautiful bird. Thank you for linking up and sharing your post. Enjoy your day, wishing you a happy weekend! Take care and stay safe!
He certainly is patient and interested in what's going on down there! Beautiful photo! Happy weekend!
He's got his beady eye on something.
No wonder the Canada Geese are so watchful of their tiny young. They know there are predators around.
You can't blame someone from eyeing up a potential meal. We all have to eat. Raptors are not veggies.
The bird is waiting for the next meat meal.
Are they egg or unguarded baby hunting? - Margy
Looking for a meal. That is one tough bird!
It's a great looking bird, and really well captured. Hopefully the goose family will be ok.
Nature doesn't seem to play favorites. This is a beautiful bird...as the goslings are sweet, too.
Oh no he was sizing them up Pat, thank goodness he changed his mind and flew off! Super shot! Happy Sunday 💜
Great hawk.
Better to be watched by a hawk than by a camera ...
