There is something friendly about these older apartment buildings that have multiple entrances opening off a central courtyard. I imagine that everyone must get to know the other people who use their entrance unlike those that live in high rises with hundreds using one entrance. This fine building is found on Bathurst St south of St Clair, a great location.

I also like these old apartment buildings. My grandparents lived in one in Chicago, and I always loved visiting.
Looks like a very human place to live. Remember the development Moshe Safdi created at Expo 67? I forget its name but it was supposed to portend urban dwellings of the future, but I don't think the concept ever took off.
A wonderful vintage apartment building. My grandmother and her family lived in a similar building. As a young kid, I used to love to walk in the hallways and see multiple staircases. You could enter one way and leave another, I thought that was cool. :)
It has a very European look to it. I think I'd enjoy living in place like that.
Beautiful buildings.
I am reminded of some buildings here.
It looks like a nice place to live.
Yes, a wee community, P
Great places to gather again post-pandemic.
Great courtyard.
...we have a few similar apartments here, they are classics. Thanks Pat for sharing this friendly apartment building.
This is the type of building we need more of in our world.
One of my children lived in a building like this with a back courtyard. It was an old, but very nice efficient unit.
Looks nice indeed.
Nice entrance indeed. When everybody was still a name and not a number.
Helo,
The building is pretty, I like the courtyard! Take care, have a happy day!
I agree with Sharon Pat, they do have a European feel, the central area definitely 💙
