A few weeks ago a couple of the parking lots at the Sunnybrook Health Sciences Centre were blocked off with fencing and then a few days later these tents started to appear. It turns out that they are fully loaded hospital tents and were being installed just in case the province goes into a 3rd wave. They are still empty and unused thank goodness. The whole scene reminds me of an episode from the TV show Mash. I hope they remain empty!

Hopefully they are not needed, but time will tell.
Wow that is really being prepared Pat, excellent idea!
As soon as I saw this photo the Mash theme music started playing in my head.
They built the emergency "Nightingale hospitals" here, mostly conversions from conference centres and the like. I don't think anyone has figured out how they're going to staff them if they are needed. Lets hope they're not required.
Better safe than sorry.
Oh wow, I hope they stay empty too! Better to be prepared though. Something our government down here doesn't seem to understand. I does look a bit like MASH.
...bleak.
Definitely a Mash memory.
Not a good sign.
Funny you should mention MASH. As soon as I saw you photo I thought it looks like Korean War era. I also hope they remain empty. We all need to continue to take the pandemic seriously, especially now that many of us have been getting vaccinated.
Also mine thought, Mash.
It’s good to be prepared.
Oh, boy. Crazy times.
Goodness, I hope they remain empty too, and that things are on the better side with all the vaccines being done. I get my 2nd one later today. My work, Target has our larger fitting room area opened for vaccines and they have 12 rooms open for it! Most Targets are doing this I believe. You're right about it looking like a scene from good old Mash!
I hope so too. Stay safe my friend. I believe the situation will improve soon.
