Wood Galore

This is a shot of yesterday's laneway houses taken from the street out front. That is the house on the street that is on the left of this shot. It seems to be divided into two flats.  They must be quite unique inside but the outside seems cold despite the wood siding.

They've built some houses with timber cladding like that near here - I wonder how often it's going to need replacing in our damp climate.

Good perspective, RedPat.

Wonder about that wooden facade before the windows.

These houses have a contemporary look. The wood should change color as it ages. My guess is that it will turn gray with age. Gray is a good color for houses.

These remind me so much of a house I saw on the Netflix series The World's Most Extraordinary Homes. Only the one I saw was in Spain and out in the country. It was actually 3 separate houses built around a central courtyard and all three were clad in wood just like this.

Buenas fotos pero esta arquitectura muy simple y moderna, no me gusta.
Buen fin de semana Pat.
Un abrazo.

Looks very interesting, but you are right, somehow not really inviting. Would love to see the inside.

Hello,
I like the wood but I like a lot of windows too.
Take care, enjoy your weekend!

it does seem to be an austere geometry.

Yes, I'm not sure about it, either.
