I was walking along one of the woodland paths along the Humber River near James Gardens when I happened upon this pair of Mallards in a small stream. They seemed to be checking the area out for a possible good nesting site. The male paid no attention to me but Ms Mallard did not like me being there at all. She kept turning and stretching her neck up really long and giving me the evil eye. I took a couple of pics and then left them on their own.

She's very watchful.
Very cool photo!
Hello,
Cute capture of the Mrs Mallard, she is watching you. Thank you for linking up and sharing your post. Take care, have a great weekend.
Always fun to see Mallards!
Nice pair in that exuberant greenery.
She was probably afraid you were going to claim the perfect spot she found. She really has stretched her neck to watch you.
it was nice to find a pair off on their own like that.
Yes that's the way. Snap the shot and leave them be. I like how you operate!
Hello :=)
Lovely capture of Mr and Mrs Mallard. Mrs Mallard was very protective of the place she had claimed as hers.
Enjoy your weekend.
Mrs, Mallard just wanted you to know that she is tough, and you should go away. Hope this pair can successfully raise a brood this spring.
this is a beautiful image...but best to leave them alone if they are irritated!!
She wanted a little privacy.
That is cute!
She's in a serious house hunting trip! What a fun photo to get them both!
Cute and alone. Good shot
