The October theme for the City Daily Photo Blog community is Transportation and for this one I offer a shot of one of our streetcars as it heads down Bathurst St. Our transit system, the TTC, transports many thousands of people each day and the streetcars are a vital part of that transportation.

The contemporary streetcars are a huge asset for cities. The efficiently, and cheaply move many thousands of people in a quick, efficient manner. I just wish more cities had these.
I love this. A city with a great mass transit system is a great city. You would not believe the amount of push back here against mass transportation. Yes, we have a light rail but there are certain people in government doing everything they can to stop its growth. It makes no sense to me.
