A Church Interior

I happened to be going by Trinity-St. Paul's United Church on Bloor St W so wandered in for this shot of the interior. It felt so calm in there when coming in from the busy street.

...I'd love to hear the organ.

To some quiet time, RedPat.

Nice place to listen to a concert.

Forgive me Father, for I have sinned. It would be good to hear that massive organ.

It’s pretty impressive.

I did the same in Stockholm at the Klara church, no phoymtos though. It is a church that helps people living rough, so I put away the camera before walking in.

I had the same thought as S.C. It is perfect for a concert, especially with that impressive pipe organ.

There is honestly nothing quite like that feeling of stepping off a frantic, noisy city street and instantly being wrapped in that deep, heavy silence of an old church. It’s like the air changes the second you walk through the doors. Bloor Street can get so incredibly chaotic, so finding a little pocket of peace like this is such a gift.

The architecture in Trinity-St. Paul's is absolutely stunning. I always find myself looking at the woodwork and the massive organ pipes, just thinking about how many stories those walls have witnessed over the decades. You captured that serene, safe-haven mood so beautifully in your photo.

Do you often pop into old buildings like this when you're out exploring, or was this just a lucky, spontaneous moment? Sending you lots of love and hoping you find many more peaceful moments in your week!
