"Timber!"
It was just around noon on a sunny day about a week ago when this huge very old Silver Maple tree fell over right from its base. It tore out the electric wires to several houses but luckily no one was injured. You can see a car towards the right of centre. It was flattened. Spooky times for the people who live on this street.

I once built a new roof one week and had a tree fall on it next week.
Oh my, that brought back a memory. When I was about 13 or 14, a friend of my dad's stopped by the house to show my dad his brand new car. He parked it across the street from our house. While he and my dad were talking in our kitchen, we heard a crash and the tree across the street had fallen over and crushed his new car. No particular reason, it just fell over. I'll never forget that.

I betcha someone heard that tree fall. :-)
Oh yes indeed, and when these big trees fall it's often very damaging, sorry for the car, but at least no people or animals were hurt!
