Gardens on University Avenue

University Avenue is a major north-south road in downtown Toronto and is probably the most prestigious. It is 8 lanes wide for most of its length and has this wonderful median of gardens and sculptures running down the middle. The street is home to 4 major hospitals, the courthouse, opera house, and numerous corporate offices - that is the Canada life building from 4 days ago peeking in on the right. At this time of year it is a gorgeous street!

It's always nice to see some green to relieve the cityscape! That's a nice shot Red!

Don't you wish more cities would design beautiful boulevards like this? Nice.

Now this looks like a spot for a stroll, can't believe 8 lanes of traffic.

Great landscape! I agree with Regina too, it does look like a wonderful place for a walk.

I am just glad we're getting plenty of green now. Toronto really does have alot of green space and shop owners, etc. really make an effort to green up their shops and restaurants. I like that! :D

You captured it nicely....I was just down there this week. Yes I did notice the beautiful gardens and flowers b/c I was stuck in rush hour traffic....and not moving too fast.
Thanks for sharing... :-)))

This looks nice and lush. Still no fountains, though.
