The quality of light in the fall is beautiful and nothing catches it as well as sunflowers which are just now coming to maturity here. This beauty growing in a local front garden had to be at least 7' tall and a passerby informed me, as I was shooting, that it was a "Russian Mammoth" and that they can grow to 12'!

well named! good thing it wasn't taller, you'd need a fence to stand on.
Wow, I had no idea that they could become so tall!!
I love sunflowers! :)
I've been meaning to go find one to shoot here, best move it up my list!
I love sunflowers. They scream "summer," all evidence to the contrary.
It's beautiful and sunny!
Great shot, one of my favorite flowers.
flowers? for me? thanks Pat, I was in Toronto a few days ago, I went by where you used to live ,maybe you still do. I was on one of those whirlwind days of driving there and back and getting a million things done while I was there, it was sunny and warm and I was thinking of you while I drove by some of the places I have seen on your blog, thanks,,,M
What a lovely shot!
