Christie Pits Ladies
The pool at Christie Pits Park is built into the side of a steep hill and so there are 2 of these exposed sides to the pool foundation. On the other side from yesterday's post, murals have also been painted to help fight against graffiti and this is part of that. The lovely ladies were painted in 2009 by Alexa Hatanaka working as part of "Under The Radar" which is responsible for the murals on both sides. Research turned up the info that Hatanaka will graduate from art school next year so there will be more great work to come from her! I also rather like the black and white outline section on this wall but couldn't decipher the signature.

It's a very attractive looking, two headed octopus!
Very well done. That should be in a museum.
Her work is interesting. She has talent.
I'd be willing to bet the Ms. Hatanaka will be an artist to reckon with in future years!
Cool work, she already is a great artist! ;-)
I like this one.
Great!
But i also like your capture!
Love seeing art in such unexpected places. Those faces are really gorgeous, nice work.
Very interesting. I like the face on the top.
