"Let's Eat Sandwiches Together..."

I've been back to the famous graffiti laneway off Queen St West and discovered that the artist, Elicser, has painted over an older mural that he had done in this framed space. The old one had been tagged several times so it is good to see a new piece here.  I've shown several of Elicser's works before including the "Hug Me Tree" (click here) and his work is quite recognizable with its soft figures and landscapes. I'm not sure what the sandwich caption means.

Maybe it's a modern version of 'breaking bread' Pat, super mural.

I'm amazed that the variety of mural you find in your city.

Sorry, Pat...it's colorful and attention-getting, but I think it's ugly. :)

This mural is very pleasing to the eyes. Let's eat sandwiches, eh.

PS; I'm looking forward to your posting on the Grand Trunk Railway.

They don't look too happy to be eating their sandwiches together do they!

Love the strokes, looks more like chalk work that spray can. Nice.

I am going to guess that the artist had permission to paint this here, so I will be kind in my review. I think _____________ .

Fun ... I see some green and red ... perhaps they're eating BLTs. Interesting that the figure in purple seems to be trying to keep the woman with the glasses from taking her sandwich.

At first I thought this was rendered in chalk. The message of the mural eludes me, but the artist is clearly interested in human interaction. He elicits strong reactions, doesn't he? Love the story of the Hug Me tree. Thanks for contributing to this week's Monday Mural.

It looks huge?! Or is it just the angle you shot it from, either way it's very impressive!

You sure have many murals in Toronto. How many have you photographed so far, do you have a number?
