Downtown Construction

This is the view from near yesterday's restaurant and it is typical of the core of the city - a view of the CN Tower with tall condo towers near it and cranes busy at work constructing even more. Toronto has more condos under construction than any other city in North America and it is getting harder to find parking lots like this one as they are all being bought up for even more towers. Crazy!

Very dramatic. I think this kind of construction is going on in a lot of cities, but from watching HGTV I know Toronto has more than its share and these "condos" are very expensive. All Toronto housing seems very expensive! :)

I am amazed at how much construction is going on downtown. It's not hard to understand how Toronto has suddenly become North America's fourth-largest city.

This is the way Phoenix looked until around 2008. Some of that has slowed down because of the recession but it's starting to pick up again. I guess there is something to be said for living where you can walk to all services you need.

I am amazed at the construction downtown Toronto. Buildings going up, sidewalks and roads block. It's good for the economy.

I have heard that Toronto has remained healthy economically -- but where is everybody going to park?

It almost seems they're making too many... I can't see myself in a condo.

Excellent shot of the tower!

The same happens here, I wonder if one we will be able to see the sky in the future. ;-)

That's a very busy skyline! Love the sky and clouds too.

Perth and Toronto have so many similarities Pat, our high rise apartments are shooting up also and very expensive.

Fascinating, your economy must be booming, bringing the good and the bad all at the same time.
