Forsythia At The Casa
Casa Loma is located high on a well-treed hill in downtown Toronto and is surrounded at the bottom of the hill by a tall stone wall that has several large growths of Forsythia that tumble over the top of the wall. The yellow flowers are spectacular at this time of year and since the trees have yet to get their leaves, we also get a peek of one of the towers of the Casa itself!

Casa Loma makes a nice backdrop for these flowering bushes.

Good thing it's forsythia and not Scotch Broom, which is considered an invasive species in Canada, no matter how much I like it. So...there's your plot. The gardener is murdered, and no one knows why, until the forsythia he planted turns out to be broom!
Well, that kind of gives it away, except for whodunnit, but Lowell started it, I didn't. LOL

That is a tall forsythia. I used to have a row of forsythia between my yard and a neighbor, but last year I had them reomved. They just got too big and too unsightly. Now I have a simple fence there.
Springtime at the Casa is very beautiful Pat, what spectacular colour.
It's an explosion of yellow.
Jack could be right but it looks like something we have here that seems to be kin but doesn't g row up like forsythia, rather it hangs down and tumbles over walls etc. Either way, it's lovely with the Casa in the background. V
