Hello!

This is a close-up of the creature hanging from the winch in yesterday's pic. I imagine the winch is used for lifting large furniture pieces to the upper floors with this guy guarding the place in the meantime. Those are birch logs and 2 cups hanging in what were probably window openings at some point in the building's history. Any ideas on the purpose of the logs? Visuals? Sound?

I like the creature. The sticks are probably decoration.

I think the shadow of that little critter is more fearsome than the critter itself! So far as the Birchers go...maybe the have bells in them so if someone tries to break in they start clanging and banging and drive the crook crazy so he commits suicide and saves everyone the expense of a trial?

Hey, it could happen! :)

Possibly something for birds- as mentioned a feeder- but it reminds me of windchimes.

The ornament is highly peculiar!

Look like home made bird feeders to me, wonder what sort of birds they attract?

Perhaps a rather unsophisticated burglar alarm?! Well spotted!
