A Vintage Ride

I wandered by this car just as the driver parked it and I yelled across to find out what year it was. It is a 1953 Buick Super and has obviously been chopped and customized. I love it - if I ever win a lottery a car like this would be cool for a summer car!

I was a junior in high school. Buicks were fantastic cars. In fact, a guy in my class got a job at the local Buick dealership. In 1954, our senior year, he stole a new Buick Roadmaster and drove it to school for almost the whole year (parked it a few blocks away) before they caught him. I think he did time. What a character! This is one fine automobile.
