Cool In The Ravine

Even on the hottest days of summer if you go down into one of the many ravines that run through the city it will be refreshingly cool. A lot of them such as this one have nice paths making it easy to run, walk, or ride a bike and of course to walk your dog. This particular ravine has a nasty swampy area that the dogs seem to love to get into!

When we lived in Toronto for 2 or 3 years about 40 years ago, we often explored the ravines. Had wonderful times walking down through those valleys in the midst of a big city.

Green spots like that are very rare in our desert environment.

Great place, nice fence! I like the idea of something cool that runs through a hot city!

I'm glad I can't smell the swamp but the cooler air sounds inviting!

Looks like a nice area for a bike ride. I guess the nasty swamp area would be so fun though.

After our 40° we've been having several days under 20 with temps dropping to below 14 at night. So right now, I'm not looking for cooler weather but I'd still want a walk there!

Dogs! They love to jump in the canal here, too.

This looks wonderful and I gladly spend hours riding bike there! Hot or not. It couldn't be any hotter than it gets here!

Thanks for your comment on L&L. Hope you doing well!

A city with a ravine is in a class apart! Tho perhaps not if you're a dog owner.

I'd just opt for some warmer weather here
