This black squirrel had found a great piece of food and seemed to be trying to decide whether to eat it now or store it for later. I wonder how many of their little stored treats ever get found again?

Cute pic. I like black squirrels. We don't have any here. Well, our fox squirrels have some black in them. And yes, I think they remember their stashes...unless, of course, they get run over or caught up by a hawk! :)
I don't think I have ever seen a black squirrel. It looks sweet!
Definitely eat it, I would :) very cute little critter Pat, well captured here.
Looks like he's decided to tuck in!
Decisions, decisions.....I know how it feels. However, I'm always an eat it now kind of person.
A black squirrel? Amazing!
Ah, dining alfresco again I see. :-)
Cute squirrel image. I have not seen a squirrel in ages where I live.
I have a bunch of these storing and eating! Great shot, enjoy your weekend.
They do stock away a whole lot!
Hello, cute capture of your Black Squirrel. I have a squirrel burying a peanut in my yard, some critter will find it. Thank you for linking up and sharing your post. Have a happy weekend!
they do hoard a lot of nuts, i always wonder the same thing, how in the world do them ever find them!!!!
I've never seen a black squirrel before - how exotic!
Sweet! I didn't even know that black squirrels existed!
They always forget where they store them but can sniff them out later.
Gorgeous Black Squirrel image
In Poland we have red squirrels
I'm glad to see a black squirrel. The Red squirrels have out competed them so their numbers are dwindling. Not sure squirrels always make the best decisions, but then I could say that about myself as well.
They find a lot of them, but enough still grow that it's a good strategy for the trees, too.
Nice pic!

Nice looking squirrel! He should store it; otherwise he's going to wear it!
Great shot and such a beautiful day too.
So cute! I watched a squirrel hide something in my flower bed the other week. They're so much fun to watch.
I found a chestnut tree sapling growing in one of my planters, I suspect squirrels!
ha. They are funny creatures. Dear thing!
The squirrels sure have been busy in my neighbourhood lately. I think you are correct that they forget where they hide a lot of their treats.
Cute :)
She looks so cute. Pat;)
Lovely! And so dark.
