Blue

I always admire this house when I go by and I think it is the wonderful shade of blue that attracts my attention. It is the perfect complement to the bricks don't you think? It seemed a good idea to get a pic before the leaves come out on those trees and block even more of our view.

A nice one. Very traditional.

Very bold paintwork but the woodwork is so ornate it demands attention!

I really like how the plantings complement the house.

There are some similar houses in Hartford and West Hartford. I think I showed them earlier on my blog. But, I don't remember a pretty blue color like that.

What a gorgeous shade of blue and a nice offset to the red brick and the dark gray roof and doors.

Sort of a slate blue. Clever to shoot it now - and one in full bloom!

I do agree...but having said that, the gingerbread/trim up in the peak is gorgeous.

I agree! Blue is my most favorite of colors too, although not usually on houses, but this is very tasteful!
