I think you're right to worry and the owner(s) are not very smart. Dogs could very quickly be swept away in a strong current. Let's hope they don't do this often.
Maybe they do, but I'd be scared too! Most dogs do love water, that's like such a draw for them! Sure is a pretty place too!
Perhaps these old dogs have learned a few tricks to keep themselves out of trouble. Many dogs love playing in the water, and they do not mind climbing into a car all wet and muddy.
Yes those dogs that like to go in the water and then the first thing they do athome is jumping on your white bench. Funny.
Lots of fun for dogs, especially on hot days and after getting groomed - just to show their human slaves that some don't appreciate getting rid of the great scent :)

Dogs are just like little kids, they love to play in the water.
Hope you weren't nearby when they shook themselves to get rid of the water when they came out!
I had a dog who didn't like water at all. She only went out in the rain when she absolutely had to. She was funny that way.
These dogs probably go there regularly if they live nearby. I would be concerned too.

Those dogs are probably used to it, but I expect their human kept them away during the flooding.
