Cormerant

This is another of the sculptures from the ZimSculpt exhibition at the Toronto Botanical Garden. Titled "Cormerant", it was done by artist Zacharah Njobo out of springstone which is the same material as yesterday's piece. It is interesting to me that once again we see signs not to touch the artwork and not to step into the garden. One can only imagine the number of signs necessary in the tourist hotspots of the world that are required to protect the surroundings.

Another beautiful piece. It's so smooth and almost sensual. I can understand why people might want to touch it.

What a fine sculpture. I saw several interpretations of this sculpture before reading your caption. Great that the garden includes these works of art.

I love this sculpture. It really captures the lines of a cormorant and makes a beautiful statement. The previous two day's sculptures are very nice, too. What a great garden!
