Good Changes
This pic is taken up on the same terrace as yesterday's pic but looking in the opposite direction. When Sidney Smith Hall was built in the early 60s this terrace was accessible by only one staircase (now has several sets of stairs) and there was nothing on it but the concrete slabs. Only the sculpture which you can see on the wall in the distance provided any life to the area. There were not even any plants. It was typical stark 60s architecture but it works so much better now as a gathering place for the university community.

This is veery sleek, modern architecture. Must be very pleasant during warm weather.
I can just picture it full of people talking, eating their lunch or just relaxing on one of those benches.
That's an improvement on its original state.
It's amazing the difference plants and seating can make to an area 🌱
P.s. I wish I could brave up and visit Paris again Pat, it's just such a loooong trip from Perth.
Hello, it looks nice, a great place for the students to gather. Enjoy your day!
It does look nice!
A nice place for students to hang out between classes on a nice warmer day.
...we have a couple buildings here that come to mind that fit this description. What was it about the '60s.
A pleasant place! Very inviting!
Nothing like a little greenery to improve the appearance of a place.
Your photo is well composed and has good light. Like the contrasting lines made by the architecture.
Another quiet day out there!
