Old Oak Tree

I caught this Oak tree with lovely colours just before a big wind storm that we had last week. The wind really stripped a lot of leaves from our trees just when they were at the peak of their colour change.

Our fall colors also did not last long due to heavy wind and rain. Glad you got this photo at peak color.

I'm glad you got this shot before the wind did it's damage. My sister who lives up north said the same thing happened there when I talked to her yesterday. She was out raking leaves after they had some wind.

Just in time, you got the tree at its peak colour stage. Nice one, Pat!

Beautiful tree. Too bad its autumn splendor is over so soon.

We need more oaks. The number of other organisms hosted by various quercus species is incredible.
