WWI Nurses

There is a small display about nurses from WWI on now at the Veterans Centre at the Sunnybrook Health Sciences Centre. They have a photography studio there and there are several men, who were war photographers, in residence in the centre and they work with the staff to digitize and print some of their original pics. I really liked this one.

Oh I love this Pat. The nurses during the war were so brave, I'm not sure they get enough recognition for that. Apart from that it's so interesting to see there uniforms. Old vintage shots are fantastic 💙

Brave women they were. What horrors they must´ve seen.
Nice they get honoured like this, but wee, those uniforms look very unpractical.

What those women must have endured and seen. (I typed this before I read Iris but I agree fully with her comment).

Some forget about the women who served over there and at home. Lovely tribute.
