A Cool Spring

We have been having a cool spring but one advantage of that is that the spring flowers are lasting longer than normal. I have watched these tulips open up when the sun comes out and then close back up when we get another blast of cool weather with a bit of rain. Summer heat will be here soon enough.

Our tulips were at a peak last week. They. are a compelling spring flower.

How pretty! I wish I could see tulips growing but only cut ones available here.

...but a cool spring makes the flowers last longer!

Same here. There are still a couple of daffodils flowering in my brother's garden. That's a fine picture of the tulips.

They're a lovely colour. It's unseasonably cold here too.
