Another shot from one of the trails along the Humber River by James Gardens. I first spotted this Hairy Woodpecker poking around on the ground which I thought was unusual but then he headed up onto this tree and had a fine time pecking away.

Thank you for linking up and sharing your post. Take care, have a great weekend.
Woodpeckers are so much fun to watch, they are so determined.
Lovely woodpecker!
Have a blessed day!
I always enjoy seeing Hairy Woodpeckers, and the only way I can tell them from Downey Woodpeckers is by size. Good photo, RedPat.
The woodpecker is getting down to business. Nice shot, Pat.
What a beauty! We don't see that one very often. Fun photo!
Nice to see woodpecker in action!
A beautiful bird.
Woodpeckers are strange creatures.
It's pretty clever climbing that tree from top to bottom. I wonder why they are named as"hairy"? Google time.
Awesome bird!
Wow. Good birdshot.
They are sweet!
Busy little one!
What a nice encounter.
Beautiful woodpecker so close to the ground.
