More Laneway Construction

Yet another laneway house is under construction in the neighbourhood, replacing a garage. There are no windows allowed on the sides because it is right on the property line so a lot of these houses have large skylights. I'll try to keep track of this one to see how it turns out.

Looks like the contractor specializes in laneway houses. I look forward to seeing progress on this one.

The perfect solution to the housing shortage. We need more of these here.

I hope the skylights help with the lighting.
It is good to see new properties being built.
Take care, have a great weekend.

Don't think I have seen something like this over here.

...developers and homeowners are looking for every square inch of land to build on in Toronto.

But what about first level - just dark? RedPat, can you explain why no windows to the side are allowed?
Other, good alternative - soon we´ll hopefully be in our cabin and it will be fine. For 5 weeks. Here we have nearly 85m²...

Jeez! I hope the skylights admit sufficient natural light.
