Foraging

Squirrels seem to spend all their days looking for food and this one was trying to snack on some Maple keys before the snow that was starting to come down got too heavy. It soon started to really snow a lot and squirrel left for home.

They don't have an easy time of it in the winter.

...always enjoy seeing your black squirrels. I just read that one has recently been seen in Buffalo.

There is a spot on the nearby trail where they thrive because the bird feeders are always full there.

It always fun watching these guys forage for food. Yes, they always seem hungry.

Great capture of the squirrel. Not sure I've ever seen a black one before.
