Ribbons

I saw a lot of doorways and windows in San Miguel De Allende decorated with rows of colourful ribbons like this one was. I asked around and apparently they are often used by shops to attract attention since large or flashy signs are not allowed by the UNESCO guidelines, to bring good luck, or just as decoration. This door could use some good luck but it seemed that there often wonderfully restored places behind such doors. I loved the ribbons.

What a beautiful spot of rainbow colour in an otherwise drab setting!

A great very old doorway with a lot of history.

I love the ribbons. In places like this, opening old rustic doors sometimes reveals hidden places of beauty.

A lovely spot of colour.

Perhaps it is the reverse of what some do, with a grand entrance to a modest interior.

Beautiful. I have similar here - good to know they might bring luck, RedPat - I made them myself, maybe that helps! :-)
