These are typical semi-detached houses that you will find along Bathurst St in the downtown part of the city. This is a main commuting street in the city. Some are divided into flats but most are single family homes. Our snow is gone now.
Housing build like this were originally for workers who either walked to work, or walked to public transportation. No distance between houses meant less distance to walk. Now these houses have become desirable for the nearness to the central business district. I can see the snow melting in your photo.
They look pretty nice. I live in a semi detached house, but the detached side is 20 feet from the next house. I don’t understand the logic of building homes with less than an alleyway in between. That’s not enough for a fire break or even to walk through.
I have lived in a townhouse, sharing a wall on both sides. It was energy efficient because you didn’t lose heat out of either side.
Here most built top on top on top. We are lucky, RedPat, we live ground floor. The houses are old and rooms high - visiting neighbor W in 4th floor already makes me breathe hard! He is 84 and just walks up there. These houses look great. A bit of of climbing stairs to keep fit, but not too much and reckon the heavy stuff stays downstairs.

Yes, the street looks pretty wet so you can tell that snow is melting fast.

We have similar semi-detached houses here too. I am glad our snow is gone, we did have a snow shower today. Take care, enjoy your day!
...can only a skinny person walk between them?
Lovely looking houses.
Las adosadas en todas las ciudades se parecen. De momento también se nos fue la nieve Pat.
Un abrazo.
Once upon a very long time ago, my girlfriend on Ossington lived in a similar house.
That is familiar territory!
It's a nice row of housing, and I am sure looks better without the snow.
