Cars of Summer

I spotted this great '57 Thunderbird parked at a local mechanics this week - it is in beautiful condition and even seemed to have its original colour. Not the kind of car we see on the road in winter so it's fun to see them now. It reminded me of Cybil Shepherd in "the Last Picture Show".
Happy Father's Day to all the fathers - I am off to visit mine.

I don't think we have them here at all - says something about our summer!

One of my favorites, I remember seeing my first one when I lived in Santa Fe, NM in the early 60's.

My favourite T'Bird, the one with the porthole in the hardtop roof. Something tells me there was a convertible, too.
Too bad there isn't an electric T'Bird, or at least a hybrid.
Sigh.

Oh, Wow! This was one of my favorite cars while I was growing up and thanks for the reference to The Last Picture Show!

What an absolute gem of a car! Sweet! We have 11,000 classic cars driving around St. Paul, Minnesota this weekend!

It's a nice looking classic. You're right that we rarely see them during the winter months but I seem to be seeing more and more of them during the good weather.

I was once given a '69 Bonneville on loan for a week. The most fun I've ever had in a car! This one is a beaut!
