Round Table in A Round Room

Even though yesterday's Munk building is historically designated, the architects were able to get permission to punch a long window into the back facade of the tower allowing them to bring a lot of light into each floor of the tower. On this floor the round room is used for meeting space while the other floors have been fitted out as lounge areas with a difference!

I've sat through a lot of meetings in a lot of different buildings, but this would be quite different. It's cheery and full of light. I'll bet people get a lot more work accomplished and are in a better mood than if they were in a dark, dank room with no windows!

I agree with Lowell I think this would be a very pleasant place to have a 'board meeting' Pat, lots of lovely sunlight coming in though these windows.

This window is a great idea and it actually doesn't change the real look of the building as we can see on the previous post.

That long vertical window is just what the tower needed. They were fortunate that the historical preservation people were reasonable.

Nice looking room.

ah smart idea. I can see how this room would be a little claustrophobic without the window.

The long window makes the tower a useful space and, truly, I don;t think it takes away from the original design.
