This stately church is found on St Clair Ave W in the tony Forest Hill neighbourhood and it quite suits the style and age of many of the homes there. It was designed in the English Gothic style by architects Wickson & Gregg and was built in 1914 as a Methodist Church but is now a United Church. The land was donated by the Eaton family as a memorial to retailer Timothy Eaton and hence the name. This is the same family that the famous Eaton Centre mall is named after.

That is a very stately church. Wow!
Nice one Pat. Never knew he had a church named after him.
quite large. :)
Lovely!
Interesting connection with Timothy Eaton.
Beautiful church!
The Eaton name is not familiar to me. Well, I knew an Eaton in high school but that was in Arizona so it's probably not the same family. :)
But this is one magnificent structure, advancing the notion that the faith is solid as a rock. And you composed this shot very well. Would love to see the inside?
It's massive! I think perhaps a spire would have made it a bit lighter?
A magnificent church.
I often wonder what old Timothy would make of his descendents completely screwing up the family business.
I'll bet the windows are just beautiful.
Lovely and a great composition too Pat.
The Eatons were pretty generous I guess! :)
I bet when this was built there was quite a bit of land around it, which over the years has been filled in with buildings.
This is a building I'd like to visit. The facade is appealing to me.
All those 'divine' arched windows Pat :) beautifully shown here.
