A Repeat

I first posted a pic of this bronze sculpture, "Reclining Figure", in September 2010 and every time I pass by it I stop to admire it. It was done by Toronto artist John Fillion and installed in 1967 in front of an office building on St Clair St. I love it and still think it is one of the best sculptures in the city!

It's very subtle isn't it? It makes you look more closely the way a piece of art should.

It certainly requires your attention, one of those the more you look the more you see pieces!

Hmm . . . :-)

If it was installed 1967 it must of been one of the many projects for Canada's 100th centennial.

It's an interesting piece, but I just don't get it!

I had to study it and figure out what it was and then read your post. It is quite interesting!

Every once in awhile a photographic subject needs to be looked in on again, like an old friend, to see how they're doing.

I can see why it drew you in again Pat, very complex piece requiring more than a fleeting glance.
