This is a '63 Impala in impecable condition that even has little note in its windows to please not lean against the car since the paint could be easily scratched. It's amazing how large cars were in those days!
Those were the days! We had a '57 Ford Fairlane (4-dr hardtop) and a '55 Chevy Bel Air, and a 1960 Volvo, and a '53 Ford Convertible, and a '67 Olds, etc., etc. I was a car nut! I would love this.
But, today's cars are much easier to drive and they have a lot less problems. They just lack some of the class of the older ones and it was nice to always be able to tell the model and year with one glance.
That big fella is quite a car. I had a '66 Impala along the way. I like the way the driver of this car stationed it against a fine background for your photo. Very considerate.

The Impala was an extremely popular 'ride' in their day. There were in every neighborhood with its long and lean lines.
wow! nice!
My dad was a Chevrolet man. I think he may have had one of these in red.
I don't think they looked this good even when they were new. :-)
Wonderful classic car and the background is perfect for the shot.
vintage cars are always fantastic
and SOLID! Gas/petrol was negligible. . . . nice capture you could link to Mural Monday as well.

It really has been well taken care of! I remember having cars like this when I was a kid.
My father had one of these.
Gorgeous!
What a beauty, I doubt it would fit on the roads over here though... and as for parking!
It IS a big vehicle!
Large and shiny :) How cool that it's right next to the mural, super spotting Pat!
It would take a lot of polish and muscle to keep this car shiny!
