When visiting Fort York I toured the inside of the visitor's centre too and they have a wonderful collection of old posters and signs on display. I particularly liked these ads for buying Victory Bonds.

These are so beautiful!
Vintage signs like these always look good, regardless of how old they may be!
I love some of those old advertising signs
I just heard a story on the news this morning about England just now paying off the war bonds for WW1.
These go back to my childhood. I was too young to fight in WWII, but I do remember the posters and rationing coupons, etc.
I'd enjoy Fort York at lot!
how neat.
I just love these old signs.
Oh I dig signs. Yours today are finds!
I have seen similar ones here at the War Museum.
Beautiful posters!
These are wonderful! I would have bought some after seeing signs like this.
I like these nostalgic items.
Posters are so much fun, the colors and graphics can be great. Tom The Backroads Traveller
Now you have my attention. I need to visit Fort York.
the old ads are works of art aren't they?
My SIGNS, SIGNS
great photos
Nice slice of history (and nice kilt!)
I'm right with you on liking these posters. That have great color and energy.
Quite a different era.
Nice poster design.
Great colours in these signs. Strange how so many of these old war posters feature a certain dusky yellow.
Very original !!
I love to look at the old posters. Most of them (like these) are quite attractive.
Cool posters!
I would love this! The ceilings in Florida are high, so large-scale vintage posters work nicely. I have 1920s art deco travel posters from Italy (2), Egypt, France and South Africa on the walls.
