Victorian Conversion

I took this pic last fall of these Victorian homes located just off Bloor St in probably the most expensive commercial area in the city. These homes are being converted into office space as part of a large commercial condo complex being built around them. Now that the weather is improving I will have to head by to see what progress has been made if any but already in the pic you can see that these old dears have been cleaned a lot. Meanwhile the fence will protect them from vandals.

Of course for me the older brick (lovely shade too) is such a classic beauty!

Nice work, I wonder how they will look when finished. I am almost glad to learn that you also have vandals!

Good that these buildings are being preserved rather than torn down to make way for ugly high rises. Look forward to your update photos.

They look like they have quite literally been given a new lease of life!

OMG! They look great! Don't even want to think what they would list for as homes. 8-)

Vandals? I just read that Toronto is considered to be the safest city in the world! I would guess, however, that these will be expensive offices!

It'll be fun to see how this is converted.

Good to find that they didn't tear down the old homes. They are so cool looking. It's good that they are protected by the fencing too.

This building looks great with those dormer windows. I would love to see it completed.

It makes me feel good that they are not going to be demolished.

Nice looking building.

I have the feeling that even after almost two years of being away, I might not recognize the city anymore.

I hope that they retain the building's original beauty and charm! Tom The Backroads Traveller

Pretty nice buildings, but they are obviously overwhelmed by the new high-rise buildings that are nearby. I wonder what is the point at which a developer should just give up and sell them as the site for still one more high-rise office building.

I'd have preferred to live there but if I have to work there, I won't mind! :-) They are lovely!
