This century old building had been a Baptist church until the 1970s and then had other uses until finally being purchased by a developer who seems to have done a nice job of dividing it into 5 lofts each of which is quite large. It is located just off Yonge St in the toney Rosedale neighbourhood so the lofts sell for a lot of money when they become available.

I'm fascinated that someone divided this building into lofts. I would LOVE to see them!!
I'm glad these buildings get new uses.
Well, I'm glad to see that it was put to something useful. I, too, would like to see one of the lofts. It's certainly an impressive building and probably impervious to inclement weather.
Lofts in a former church, this is quite strange...
I'd love to see inside one! I bet they are pretty spectacular.
I like how it towers over the trees in the foreground!
There have been conversions in religion all throughout history.
It would be so interesting to see the lofts. It was a beautiful church...
I do wonder what the interior would be like now.
the building is impressive
That's another lovely one!
I find it sad that a beautiful church ends up as apartments. But at least they didn't pull it down and I suppose the developer has done it 'sympathetically'.

This happens a lot in London, that's a fine building, they must be very large lofts..
I would guess there could be some interesting apartments here.
would make for some interesting lofts.
Would love to see the inside of the lofts.
I am guessing the lofts are pretty spectacular.
Actually, I once lived in the bell tower of a church still in operation!

It is a beautiful building, and you have such a great light in this picture !
I would have LOVED to live in one of these lofts. I'm sure they're a pretty penny though...
Always a shame to see a church made into houseing
I bet the lofts are pretty fabulous Pat, would love to live in a really old building, as long as there were no remaining original residents :)
I just know those lofts have to be really nice!
