Orange Feet
I took this shot at James Gardens at the duck pond which seemed to be a really popular place on a cold day this week. I think the water was probably warmer than the icy-snow but I loved the way the bright orange feet stood out against the white!

Love that bridge, too. But I can't help but wonder why these little ducks aren't down here in Florida! :)
Like Lowell, I like the bridge too, I like the whole scene!
Hard to disagree with what Lowell has said!
Seems like the office memo called for orange socks.
Some ducks seem to like the winter, as long as they can get access to open water. The little bridge suits me nicely!
I think it's a marvel that these creatures can walk around on the ice and swim in the icy water.
It is a very pretty rustic scene, but it looks cold cold cold!
I wish I could take the cold as well as these guys do.
What a perfect photo Pat -- the bridge is wonderful -- and the pop of color on the red branches echoed on the orange duck feet... and those are beautiful ducks. Loved everything about this.
Never heard a duck or goose complain about the cold. They do like their open water no matter how cold it is, just so it is liquid.
I have no idea how they can walk in the snow and swim in icy water with those beautiful orange feet. What a mystery!
This is a lovely winter scene!
Hey! My neighbors are your neighbors too!
What a cute image, Pat !
Does look a little strange seeing all that orange
Not one of them has a leg tucked up to keep warm :) Lovely scene Pat.
orange feet and bills
This is such a lovely photo, RedPat!
Oh, dear, those little ducks are going to have very cold feet. I would never see sonething like this here. It is such a nice shot.
Great shot with that bridge in the background.
It's a lovely winter moment!
They're having a good time :)))
