Inuksuk At Sunnybrook

This stone assemblage is an Inuksuk which is a human-made landmark used by the Inuit to mark trails etc in the Arctic. These ones that have a rather human resemblance have become quite a common Canadian symbol and can be found all over the country. This one is outside the Vets Centre at the Sunnybrook Health Sciences Centre. Our snow is all gone now.

I adore Inukshuk. I only have a Québec bought key ring though! :-)
No snow mid-March: isn't that a bit scary?

It's intriguing. And I can see the "human" aspect to it. Nice part of Canadian identity.

Is it an Inuksuk or a Inunnguag?!

Aren't they an amazing ancient way to communicate Pat. So precisely balanced!
