Giant Pine Cone

I spotted this giant pine cone on the lawn of a home just west of the U of Toronto. I really like it and I think it must look great in winter with some snow on it so I will have to remember to go back just after we get some white stuff. It is probably about 4 ft tall.

I like it too! It reminds me of the sculpted cactus I see in different places around here.

That's a cool sculpture Pat.. the house in the background looks like it could be a wee bit Art Decoish, what do you think?

There is a park in St. Louis that is dedicated to sculptures like that. Laumeier Sculpture park.

One of the homes in a close-by neighbourhood has a metal palm tree in their front yard which seems a mite bizarre in our climate. This sculpture makes more sense in your location and I too would like to see it covered with snow.
