This pic was taken a year ago just after a big snowstorm. The squirrels were usually able to reach the red bird feeder by jumping onto that lower structure which is a cone and then reaching out to grab onto the feeder. The snow has done a good job stopping that access route for the poor black squirrel.

Plenty of other feeders around regardless, and he knows it.
...it snowing here this morning and the squirrels are out there raiding my feeders!
Our squirrels are too fat to jump to this feeder.
Hello,
The squirrels always find a way to the feeders, I have seen them jump straight up to a feeder on a pole. They are determined to eat. Thank you for linking up and sharing your post. Take care, have a great weekend.
Oh my! Come back later I think! Enjoy your weekend! It's nice here in the South but snow in the northern part of the country!
Great shot of the feeder and squirrel. They are really clever at figuring out how to get to a bird feeder, but the snow presents a whole new problem.
He must be feeling a bit frustrated looking at that scene.
Good hurdle. I don’t want squirrels to feed birds. We have our own food vending machines for squirrels. Where are the squirrels? They have not been seen all winter. Is there?
"Vending machines". :-)
Closed due to the pandemic. Love the post title!
a cute picture!! i do not think it will take him long to figure another way!! happy saturday!!
Seguís con mucha nieve Pat. Aquí ahora mucha agua. No para de llover.
Buen fin de semana. Cuídate.
Un abrazo.
Action story!
Black squirrels are not something I see here in KY. I like it!
Same here right now! Our poor peanuts can´t get anything from me today, it´d be buried in snow quickly.
When the squirrel is really hungry there will be no stopping her (him?).
Hello,:=) I like your red feeder! We never have snow where I live, and it makes beautiful scenery, and it keeps your feeder secure from squirrels.
Oh dear! That feeder almost looks like it's smiling down at the squirrel Pat 😊
Quite a tail!
Our feeders look like that this morning! I'm sure he found a way in! :)
Ha! Ha! Sorry Mr. Squirrel!
