These are the ducks who were hanging out in the bit of open water in yesterday's pond pic. There were just a few at this time but as I passed by later there were more and more of them flying in and landing on the ice before joining these guys in the water. It was getting a bit crowded.

...if they can find open water, they are happy!
Every bit of open water draws them in.
Hello,
They are happy to find the open water, love their pretty green heads.
Thank you for linking up and sharing your post. Take care, have a happy weekend!
Amazing how they survive the cold weather! If they were not finding something to eat, they would fly on to the next pond.
Have a wonderful weekend!
Wonderful photo of the ducks and glad they have some moving water ~
Happy Weekend to you,

Ducks are nice;-)
I love ducks! Great photo!
They are tough birds, Pat!
I am surprised they could find any open water. It's been well below zero for the past week here and liquid water is nonexistent. Hope they remain safe.
I realize they are well insulated but it gives me a chill just looking at that photo. I can't begin to imagine how cold that water is.
I suppose they're warmer on the water than skidding about on the ice, but I don't envy them their lifestyle.
You wonder if they ever get cold.
They need some open water. Not much of it these days.
Isn't today the day of the Backyard Bird Count? Or was that yesterday?
Great shot!
a pond crowded with ducks is such a good thing!!
They're having a pool party!
Perhaps it helps to keep the water open.
A colourful group they are Pat, they found the popular spot!
They're always such a delight to see!
