I spotted this nicely aged wooden gate while wandering along a laneway trying to maintain my social distance from the many people who were out walking that day. Someone took the time to put some nice patterns on a gate which opens into their back garden. This pic also gives you an idea of how close the houses in the older parts of the city to each other.

That gate is beautifully designed. I had a wooden gate at my old house. I wish it would have looked like this.
I like that, different to what other people have.
In the 19th and early 20th Century houses were close to each other in cities because the major mode of transportation was walking, and this allowed a large number of people to live together so they did not have too far to walk somewhere. This gate is a carpenter's dream. Great find.
Clever design with such simple materials. I like it.
What a beautifully designed gate, I love it!
They look beautiful.
Hello,
The gate is a pretty design, looks great!
Take care, enjoy your day!
Took some serious measuring to get that right. :-)
That's rather beautiful. I love how wood goes all silvery like that.
That is nicely done.
That is neat.
Very nice homework.
Beautifully made.
Here houses are wall on wall, mostly. Sometimes sadly...
