This mural was found in the Little Portugal neighbourhood and unfortunately every time I went by it was sunny out and there was reflection on the piece. I recently went by again and it has been painted over. I really liked it so I thought I would post it as I had seen it.

Oh my gosh I can't believe this has been painted over Pat, all that work! I know that's the transient nature of street art but still. I'm so glad you posted it, the artist will be so happy that it has been seen all around the world 💙
This is very good. It has European feel to it. Sad that it has been painted over.
How sad to lose a fine looking mural like this one. It honors the local people and their traditions. Good thing you have a photo of it for posterity.
That is epic!
It looks good, even with the reflections and shadows. Why would it have been painted over?
Interesting backstory Pat. I like it too.
An odd time murals do get painted over. Sometimes it's welcome, but usually it is not.
Reminds me of Hemingway's short story--The Old Man and the Sea.
How sad that beautiful mural is now gone, but how nice it still lives thanks to your photo sharing ability. Thanks for this!
Without having read your article about the mural, just seeing the man's face and hat I thought he looked like a Portuguese fisherman. I was right :)
What a pity the mural has disappeared, it's fabulous and part of the neighbourhood's history.
Thanks for participating in Monday Murals Pat.
Hello,
Beautiful mural, I am glad you took a photo of before it was painted over.
Have a great day and happy week ahead!
Great mural. nice to see.
A great mural, but sad that it was painted over.
Oh that's too bad thanks for sharing it. I don't understand those folks that ruin other people's artwork.
