Snow Balls

The snow we had on Jan 2 was a light fluffy kind that settled nicely on the trees and plants. I liked how these snow balls were formed atop the remains of some of last summer's flowers.

I spent about an hour yesterday removing about a foot of this stuff from walks, driveway, and steps. It looks pretty, and is loved by skiers, but not so much by shovelers.

Those are amazing. For a moment I thought you'd been out playing in the snow, which is something I haven't done since I was....err...56.
