I went to our St Patrick's Day parade on March 17 and found a good spot near the beginning of the parade for viewing. These handsome police horses and their riders lead off the parade as usual.
I snapped the changing of the guards outside the Royal Palace a few days ago. Yet to go through those images. There are always mounted police there, and it is always fun to see the tourists reaction.

That must have been fun. They are bundled up against the cold.

These days the only horses I see are police horses - a bit strange! And I really wonder why Braunschweig has them at all (but I did not dare to ask).
They all have white socks. Must be a requirement.
